Highly recommended for hot wort and whirlpool applications in brew-houses.
Why:
The external seal “D” of the C- series pump does not fare well in hot wort. This is because high temperatures inside the pump can cause boiling and cavitation which causes vapor pressure to "pop" open the external seal. When the seals open they allow residual particles to be in your wort to jam between the face and the backplate.
The solution:
We recommend a single balanced INTERNAL SEAL.
The internal design is fully submerged in the product, allowing it to not pop open during vaporization.
The TIS Internal Seal is provided with an internal single mechanical seal. The seal is balanced and has a hygienic design. As standard, the stationary part is in carbon and the rotary part is in silicon carbide, the gaskets are in EPDM.
